Overview Experience the natural beauty of Morocco’s Atlas Mountains on our Ighoulidn Waterfall Day Trek. This challenging trek takes you through picturesque Berber villages, verdant valleys, and forests, offering stunning panoramic views of the surrounding peaks. The highlight of the trek is reaching the hidden Ighoulidn Waterfall, where you can relax and enjoy the tranquil surroundings. With a combination of rich cultural insights and breathtaking landscapes, this trek is perfect for those seeking an adventurous day in the heart of Morocco’s mountains. Walking Grade: Challenging What to Expect Start your day with a 7:00 AM pick-up from Marrakech and a scenic 1.5-hour drive to Imlil (1,740m). From here, the trek begins as we head west, passing through lush groves of almond, walnut, and apple trees, with views of the valley and nearby Berber villages such as Tanghourt, Fimlil, and M’Zik. The trek takes you up to Tizi M’Zik pass (2,664m), where you will be rewarded with panoramic views of the Jbel Oukaïmeden range and the lush Tazaghârt Plateau. As we descend through fragrant juniper and pine forests, the landscape opens up to the breathtaking Ighoulidn Waterfall (2,200m). This serene spot is perfect for a picnic lunch, and from late spring to early autumn, you can take a refreshing swim in the cool waters of the waterfall. After enjoying the peaceful surroundings, we’ll return along a slightly different path, providing new views of the valley and mountains as we head back to Imlil and then Marrakech.
